Sony smart network windows 8

It installs correctly but doesn't appear on my task bar or Metro. But after rebooting my notebook I can see it through Task Manager, but it still doesn't work. Because it's not working I can't connect through wifi this notebook doesn't have a physical button to turn on wireless.

After the unfortunate upgrade to Windows 10, a lot of functionality was lost in my computer and the biggest issues is that the airplane mode is always toggling back on and the Wi-Fi is not enabled no matter what I do.

I have tried almost every method suggested in threads here and online for getting the Wi-Fi to be enabled and to even look for a network. I have reinstalled a fresh Windows 10 OS, watched videos, followed instructions I am completely speechless at the level of frustration I have encountered in this matter.

Nothing seems to work. Apparently the upgrade to Windows 10 causes this issue and it has nothing to do with the actual network adapter itself. Can anyone please help with some real solutions?
