La guna vista

Shortly after, I attended Hallmark College in San Antonio, Texas and achieved an associates degree in business administration. I truly love Laguna Vista. I have a deep appreciation for its beauty and charm, its fantastic school district, and the town activities.

I enjoy helping people and I was raised to believe that community service is a noble exercise of our freedom. However, I also believe that community service must be done for the right reasons. It should be viewed as a personal commitment to better our community, not as a means to gain financially or professionally from it. I have always been an active member of our community.

Prior to serving as your Town Councilman. I actively serve on the Laguna Madre Youth Center Board of Directors as Secretary and have served previously as a Board Member of the following advisory boards and non profit organizations:. Serving as your Councilman allows me the opportunity to serve in a capacity where I have an impact in keeping our Town financially strong while still providing for the established town priorities of ;public safety and disaster preparedness, a positive community appearance, activities and recreational opportunities for youth, adults, senior citizens, and retaining the town history and character.

Preserve our small town atmosphere. Promote Laguna Vista and our town merchants. I want to help make Laguna Vista a better place to live for everyone in the community and I will listen to ideas from anyone that brings them forward. I was born and raised in Port Isabel, and I am the youngest of seven brothers and sisters. I enjoyed the Laguna Madre area as a child and young adult before the construction of the Queen Isabella Causeway.

I remember waking up in Port Isabel in the late sixties and early seventies and hearing the waves crashing on the beach of South Padre Island. After the bridge was opened in , South Padre grew rapidly and the sound of the waves slowly faded as the Island grew.
